Waynav ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered trip planning service available at waynav.quest (the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Google authentication, we receive certain information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile picture.

Trip and Calendar Data

We collect information you provide related to your trips, including destinations, dates, preferences, notes, and guest details. With your explicit authorization, we access your Google Calendar solely to create, read, update, or delete trip-related events on your behalf.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe may collect and process billing information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Usage and Analytics Data

We use PostHog to collect analytics data such as page views and feature usage to understand how users interact with the Service. Analytics are collected only for identified users in production environments.

4. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Data

We do not sell your personal data or Google user data to any third party. We share your data only with the following third-party service providers, solely as necessary to operate the Service:

  • Google – We share your authentication credentials and calendar event data (trip titles, dates, times, locations) with Google to sign you in and sync itinerary events to your Google Calendar.
  • Stripe – We share your email address with Stripe to process subscription payments. Stripe handles all payment card data directly; we never receive or store it.
  • Supabase – Your account information, trip data, and preferences are stored in Supabase, our database and authentication provider.
  • PostHog – We share anonymized usage events (page views, feature interactions) with PostHog for analytics.
  • Resend – We share your email address with Resend to deliver transactional emails such as password resets and account confirmations.
  • Perplexity – We share your trip details (destinations, dates, preferences) with Perplexity to generate AI-powered itinerary suggestions. No personally identifiable information beyond trip preferences is sent.
  • Google Maps – We share location queries with Google Maps to provide mapping and location data for your itineraries.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Waynav, our users, or the public.

5. Google API Services

Waynav's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, Google user data (such as calendar events and profile information) is used only to provide and improve user-facing features within Waynav. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell, share, or transfer Google user data to third parties except as described in Section 4 above or with your explicit consent.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data based on your consent, the necessity to perform our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time, and we will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe unless legally required to retain certain information.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We take reasonable measures to protect your data during such transfers.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
